- Eyes: The eyes should look about six to eight inches above the camera lens. This thins out the upper eyelid and gives sparkle to the eyes.
- Model Eyes: The eyes, rather than stop at the camera, should stare beyond the camera. Look at the newspaper and observe the “far away” look of the models who do this.
- Mouth, Smile: The ideal smile occurs when the top teeth just touch the bottom lip. Smile problem: Smile reveals top gum. Solution: Have the subject press the tongue firmly against the bottom of the inside gum. In a serious pose, the lips should just touch together—no pressing or biting of lips.
