SETS FINAL HOUDINI SÉANCE

OAKLAND, Calif., July 20 (AP)–Mrs. Harry Houdini, widow of the magician, announced today that she will hold “just one more séance,” on the night of Oct. 31, ten years to the day after Houdini’s death, in a final attempt to reach her husband’s spirit through a system of pre-arranged signals. Oct. 31 is Hallowe’en, “and if the spirit don’t come then [sic], I don’t think there will be much chance,” she explained. The final séance may be broadcast with the orchestra playing “Pomp and Circumstance,” the musical number used by Houdini in his last performance.
