FIND CODICIL TO HOUDINI WILL CHANGING GIFT OF SPIRIT BOOKS

A codicil to Harry Houdini’s will, which revokes the bequest of his spiritualistic library to the American Society for Psychical Research and leaves it to the Congressional Library in Washington, has been discovered, according to his widow, Mrs. Wilhelmina R. Houdini of 278 West 113th Street. She received permission yesterday from Surrogate Foley to reopen the matter of probating her husband’s will so that she can file the codicil.

Houdini’s will, made on July 30, 1924, was found in a safe deposit box on Nov. 10 last, and was filed for probate that day. The newly found codicil, it was said, was made on May 6, 1925. The circumstances of the discovery were not made public.
