SAYS FOUR KNOW HOUDINI’S SECRETS

CHICAGO, Nov. 3 (AP)–Four friends of Houdini, the magician who died Sunday, know the secret of his magic, Leonard Hicks, a hotel operator here, said today after reading a report that Houdini died without revealing the secrets of his success.

Mr. Hicks claimed a lifelong friendship with the magician, during part of which he said he was associated with Houdini in the theatrical profession, and said the others to whom the secrets are known, are Houdini’s brother, known on the stage as Theodore Hardeen; James Collins, who was Houdini’s assistant for sixteen years, and James Vickery, who was his assistant for fourteen years.
