Isotemp Plus Water-jacketed CO2 Incubators provide excellent growth conditions for research in cell biology, genetics, cancer, tissue culture and microbiological and biochemical assays.
HEPA filter-purified air. A standard feature, the HEPA filter removes airborne contaminants larger than 0.3µm from the chamber environment with an efficiency of 99.97%. Sterile-packed replacement filter (Cat. No. 11-688-81) is easy to install.
Consistent temperature, CO2 and humidity. Settable temperature range is from 5°C above ambient to 60°C with ±0.1°C control sensitivity. Modular, 12-gallon (45.5L) water jacket maintains top-to-bottom temperature uniformity of ±0.2°C and helps keep cultures warm during a power failure. Unit’s triple-wall construction includes CFC-free, foamed-in-place insulation between water-jacketed and outside walls. Inline filter on CO2 inlet traps particles larger than 0.3µm. CO2 level can be set from 0 to 20% with setpoint resolution of 0.1%. When main gas tank is empty, incubator automatically switches to standby CO2 tank. The flow of CO2 stops when incubator door is opened or when there is a power failure; and an advanced recovery system helps to rapidly return CO2 to preset level. Manually filled water pan provides evaporative humidity up to 98% relative humidity (RH) at 37°C—highest in the industry. Models with RH display show RH to within 0.1%.
Microprocessor accuracy. Microprocessor controller features touchpad control of temperature setpoint, overtemperature setting (to within 0.3°C of setpoint), CO2 percent and autozero CO2 calibration. Settings are displayed on easy-to-read LED to 0.1°C or 0.1%. Visible and audible alarms indicate low water-jacket level, door ajar, low temperature, overtemperature and CO2 level deviation. The controller automatically switches gas supply to a standby tank when main CO2 tank is empty and cuts off CO2 supply during power failure. Alphanumeric display shows status of all functions.
Double-door design, sturdy stainless-steel construction, easy access for cleaning. Tempered-glass inner door closes on closed-cell silicone gasket and a standard rotational latch gives an unobstructed view. Heated outer door, which seals on a magnetic gasket, reduces condensation, enhances chamber’s overall temperature uniformity and helps prevent cultures from drying out. Factory-installed left-hand door option available. Five sturdy, removable, perforated stainless-steel shelves per chamber are included. Incubator chamber can hold maximum of 24 shelves. Two models to choose from. Isotemp Plus Water-Jacketed CO2 Incubators come in 5.8 or 11.6 cu. ft. (0.16 or 0.32m3) capacities. Choose from single-chamber or vertical double-chamber units. Separate temperature and gas controls for each chamber. Stackable single-unit cabinets are structurally reinforced and need no stacking adapter or hardware. Both single- and double-chamber models include either a special patented humidity-compensating thermal conductivity (TC) CO2 sensor or an infrared (IR) sensor, and come with or without RH readouts. Units operate on 115V 60Hz. Auxiliary electrical outlet, located on outside of unit, is provided for chart recorder or other devices. RS-232-C datalogging option available. 24-month warranty on parts and labor. UL listed.
