PITTSBURGH October 10, 2001 Ansoft Corporation (NASDAQ: ANST) expanded its operations in September with the opening of two Automotive Product and Technology (APT) Solutions Centers near Detroit, Mich., and in Nagoya, Japan.
The offices will provide expert software design, training and support services for automotive OEMs such as GM, Ford, Daimler-Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi and their suppliers.
With these new centers, Ansoft will be better able to provide technical-support services to our customers in those regions, said Mike Smocer, sales manager for APT Solutions. Opening the offices demonstrates our continuing commitment to our customers.
Bill Burns, automotive applications specialist for APT Solutions, will operate the Detroit-metro office, located in Troy, Mich. Koichi Shigematsu, senior application engineer, will run the Nagoya office.
