FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Tom Interval, 412-741-7273 Tom Interval’s magic dazzles attendees at BCCC PITTSBURGH - May 5, 2003 - Tom Interval’s strolling close-up magic performance at the Butler County Community College (BCCC) employee-recognition dinner on April 30 generated an enthusiastic response from College employees and their guests. “[Tom is] certainly a master of [his] craft, and many people telephoned the following day to express their enjoyment and, indeed, amazement, at [his] sleight of hand,” said Julie Sheptak, at BCCC’s President’s Office. “One person even said that he would have been willing to pass on dinner in order to see [Tom] ‘do more tricks.’ ” The dinner, held at the College’s Convocation Center in a formal, banquet-style setting, drew about 100 attendees. During the cocktail hour preceding dinner, Interval strolled from table to table, mingling with guests while performing close-up sleight-of-hand tricks with cards, coins, finger rings, and other small props. “I enjoyed performing at BCCC,” said Interval. “The campus is attractive and peaceful, the employees are very friendly, and the people at the dinner really liked watching my magic. When I perform walk-around sleight of hand, as I did at the College, the response is always very strong because people aren’t used to being mystified at such a close range.
