Magician as teacher The Pittsburgh Press No author mentioned June 5, 1991 Franklin Park magician Tom Interval wants to conjure up some students to share his knowledge of hocus-pocus. “Maybe someone will want to learn one trick applicable to kids for their son’s birthday. Or someone might want to learn sophisticated sleight of hand,” he said of his call for apprentices. Interval, 24, has been a magic instructor for Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va., Community College of Allegheny County and the YMCA.
